- Can drivers optimize their route from the mobile app?
- Yes. From the Otiggo mobile app, a driver can review the deliveries assigned to them and reorder their stops directly. The calculation can start from the depot, a specific address or their current GPS position.
- Can dispatch optimize routes as well?
- Yes. Managers can create, organize and optimize routes from the web platform, then send them to the drivers’ mobile app.
- Can a first stop be forced?
- Yes. A priority parcel or pickup can be kept in first position. Otiggo then optimizes the rest of the route around that constraint.
- Can a route be changed during the day?
- Yes. When a stop is added, cancelled or moved, the order of the remaining deliveries can be recalculated. The new itinerary is then synchronized between the mobile app and the web platform.
- Can parcels from several carriers be grouped?
- Yes. An Otiggo route can combine parcels from several carriers or clients. The originating carrier stays visible on each parcel.
- What is the difference between route planning and route optimization?
- Planning defines the parcels, the driver, the vehicle, the starting point and the constraints of the route. Optimization calculates the most efficient order of travel between the stops.
