THE WHOLE CHAIN

Run your entire last-mile logistics

Last-mile delivery is not just route calculation. It is a complete chain that starts when parcels arrive and ends when the delivery is proven and billed. Otiggo covers each of these links within a single operation.

  • Parcel intake and management

Web entry, file import, manifest scanning or creation from mobile: whichever the entry point, the parcel joins the same list.

    Multi-carrier parcel management
  • Building routes

The day's parcels are grouped by zone, depot or client before being assigned to a driver.

  • Assigning drivers and vehicles

Each route carries its driver, vehicle and starting point, together with the real availability of the fleet.

    Delivery fleet management
  • Optimizing itineraries

The stop order is calculated automatically, with the option to impose a first stop.

    Delivery route optimization
  • Tracking deliveries

Operations sees the progress of the route, the parcel delivered and those remaining, without calling the driver.

  • Handling failures and returns

A failed delivery becomes a return or an exception attached to the parcel, dealt with before the end of the day.

  • Photo, signature and location evidence

Each delivery keeps its photo, its signature, its recipient, its location and its timestamp.

Photo and signature proof of delivery
  • Billing and profitability

Rates, pre-invoices and expenses tie back to the deliveries actually made, per client.

Optimize your delivery routes

On a last-mile route, the stop order decides the number of kilometres driven and the parcels delivered before the end of the day. Otiggo calculates this order automatically from the addresses of the route, the starting point and the constraints you set.

Operations builds routes from the web interface, then sends them to the drivers' mobile app. A priority parcel can be kept in first position: optimization works around this constraint rather than ignoring it. For their part, the driver can recalculate the order of their stops from the mobile, starting from the depot, a specific address or the GPS location.

A delivery day never goes as planned. When a stop is added, cancelled or moved, the order of the remaining deliveries is recalculated and the new itinerary syncs between the mobile app and the web interface. A single route can also group parcels from several carriers without losing their origin.

IN THE FIELD

Equip your drivers with a mobile app

The last mile is won in the van. The Otiggo delivery app gives the driver everything they need for the day, and reports information back to operations without a single phone call.

  • Viewing the day's route
  • Navigation to the next stop
  • Parcel scanning
  • Delivery status updates
  • Photo and recipient signature
  • Offline operation

The driver can also reorganize the order of their own stops from the app. Without coverage, scans are queued and sync once the connection returns: a white zone does not interrupt the route.

IN REAL TIME

Track every delivery in real time

During the day, operations does not need to call drivers to know how they are doing. The state of each route is read from the web interface, parcel by parcel.

Deliveries completed

Signed, backed by a photo.

Parcels remaining

What is left to delivery before the end of the route.

Returns

Parcels heading back to the depot, and why.

Exceptions

Discrepancies reported from the field.

Driver location

Where the route is on the map.

Success rate

The share of deliveries that succeeded.

On-time performance

Routes running ahead of or behind schedule.

MULTI-CARRIER

Centralize several carriers and clients

This is the daily reality of last-mile providers: delivering for several networks at once, with as many tools as there are clients. Otiggo sits above them.

One portal per client

Each network imposes its own tool, exports and manifests. Your company has no overall view of its own activity.

Parcels losing their origin

Grouped by hand in a spreadsheet, parcels no longer say which client they came from at invoicing time.

An operation rebuilt in the evening

The volume delivered per network is re-assembled at the end of the day from sources that do not communicate.

In Otiggo, a single route can group parcels from several carriers, and each parcel keeps its original carrier. Operations keeps a single view of everything, while volumes, evidence and invoicing remain distinguishable per client. It's a platform for last-mile carriers, not just another client portal.

COST OF THE LAST MILE

Reduce the cost of the last mile

The last mile is the most costly segment of the supply chain: many stops, few parcels per stop, and constant disruption. Software does not remove these constraints; it helps you avoid paying for them twice.

  • Fewer kilometres

A calculated stop order avoids detours and backtracking.

  • Less planning time

Routes are prepared in the tool rather than in a re-copied spreadsheet.

  • More parcels delivered per route

Time saved on the road is carried into the stops.

  • Fewer calls with drivers

Progress is read on screen, not asked for by phone.

  • Fewer entry errors

Parcels come in by scan or import instead of being re-typed.

  • Disputes that are easier to handle

Proof of delivery is attached to the parcel, not stowed in a phone.

  • Profitability that is calculated correctly

Amounts are tied to the deliveries actually carried out.

PROFILES

Who is our last-mile solution for?

A last-mile delivery solution does not look the same whether you operate three vehicles or thirty. Otiggo is for organizations that deliver themselves, whatever their size, as long as their routes change every day.

Delivery companies

You run your own routes and want to manage parcels, drivers and the fleet in one place.

Freight subcontractors

You deliver for one or more networks and want an operation of your own, above their portals.

Local carriers

You cover a territory with a few vehicles and must meet your deadlines without administrative overload.

Courier companies

You handle volumes that change daily and must build routes quickly.

Retailers with their own fleet

You deliver your customers yourself and want to monitor your vehicles as well as your deliveries.

Same-day delivery companies

Your time windows are short: the order of the stops and live tracking make the difference.

Florists and shops running their own routes

You prepare a handful of deliveries each day and want proof for each of them.

UNDERSTANDING

Why use last-mile delivery software?

What last-mile delivery is

The last mile refers to the final segment of the supply chain: the journey between the last warehouse or depot and the recipient. It is the only stage where you speak to a customer, and the one where the delivery promise is kept or lost.

Why it is expensive

Over a long distance, a truck carries many parcels at once. On the last mile, it stops every few hundred metres to drop off one or two. The cost therefore concentrates on the number of stops, the time spent at each, and the unproductive kilometres between them.

Its main difficulties

Addresses are imprecise, recipients are away, time windows are constrained and the volume changes daily. To that, for a provider, add the specific requirements of each client: the file formats, manifests and expected evidence are never the same.

What software changes

Last-mile logistics software brings these elements together in a shared base: the parcels arrive without being re-keyed, the routes are built and optimized, the field reports information in real time and each delivery leaves a workable trace. Operations then stops rebuilding its day in the evening and instead runs it while it is happening.

Last-mile delivery frequently asked questions

What is last-mile delivery?
It is the final segment of the supply chain: the journey between the last warehouse or depot and the recipient. It concentrates most of the operational difficulty, because it multiplies stops, imprecise addresses, absences and time windows, on routes that change every day.
What is last-mile delivery management software?
It is a platform that runs the whole operational chain of final delivery, not just route calculation: parcel intake, building routes, assigning drivers and vehicles, optimization, live tracking during the day, managing failures and returns, proof of delivery, and then billing.
How do you optimize a last-mile delivery route?
By working on three levels: preparation, with reliable parcel data from the moment it enters the tool; the stop order, calculated automatically while respecting constraints such as a forced first stop; and the day itself, by recalculating the order of the remaining stops when a delivery is added, cancelled or moved.
How do you reduce the cost of the last mile?
By reducing the kilometres driven and the time spent preparing routes, by limiting back-and-forth between operations and drivers, and by reducing re-runs. Evidence attached to each parcel also helps resolve disputes without spending hours on them.
Can you follow drivers in real time?
Yes. Operations follows the status of each route, delivered parcels, remaining deliveries and the driver's position from the web platform, without having to call to know where they are.
Does Otiggo work with several carriers?
Yes, it is its main use case. The same route can group parcels from several carriers or clients, and each parcel keeps its original carrier. Operations keeps a single view without switching from one client portal to another.
Do drivers have a mobile app?
Yes. The Otiggo Driver app provides the day's route, parcel scanning, navigation, live status updates, photo and signature. It works offline and synchronizes scanned data when the connection returns, which matters in poor-coverage areas.
How do you retrieve proof of delivery?
It stays attached to the parcel at delivery time: photo, signature, recipient name, location and timestamp. It remains available in the parcel record, including several weeks later, when a client disputes a delivery.
