TRY IT

Run an optimization now

Edit the JSON below or use your own coordinates, then call the live API from your browser.

Response

Click “Try the API” to see the optimized order, distance and schedule.

Call it from anywhere

One POST request with a start point and 2 to 20 stops given as GPS coordinates. The response lists the stops in visiting order with the total distance, the estimated duration and a timestamped schedule. Per-stop deadlines, service times, a return point and toll avoidance are supported.

The free endpoint is rate-limited to 10 calls per rolling 24 hours per IP address. When you hit the limit you get a 429 with a Retry-After header.

Need more than 20 stops or addresses?

The same engine, with address geocoding and up to 200 stops per call.

Free test key

Create a test key in the console: 10 stops per call, 20 calls per minute and 200 stops per day, still free.

Production API

Prepaid per stop, no subscription, stops never expire. Addresses or coordinates, up to 200 stops per call.

Free route optimization API frequently asked questions

Is the free route optimization API really free?
Yes. You can run 10 optimizations per day from your IP address, with up to 20 stops each, without an account or an API key. There is no credit card and nothing to install.
What are the limits of the free API?
10 calls per rolling 24 hours per IP address, 20 stops maximum per call, and GPS coordinates only (latitude and longitude): addresses are not geocoded on the free endpoint. The paid API accepts addresses and up to 200 stops.
What does the free route optimization API return?
The optimized visiting order of your stops, the total distance in kilometres, the estimated duration, and a timestamped schedule. It supports a start point, an optional return point, per-stop deadlines and service times.
Can I use it in production?
The free endpoint is meant for testing and prototyping. For production, buy a prepaid pack (no subscription, stops never expire) or create a free test key for a higher daily allowance.
Which routing engine does it use?
A self-hosted VROOM solver on top of a self-hosted Valhalla road network, the same engine family that powers the Otiggo app. No third-party mapping API is called, so there is no per-request cost for you.
